Supporting Local Farmers and Women
Herbert Farms is committed to uplifting the local community, particularly women, through various agricultural programs. This project focuses on providing training, resources, and mentorship to local farmers and female entrepreneurs to help them start their own pineapple farming ventures or engage in the pineapple supply chain.

Scope of Work:
The farm organizes workshops and provides training on pineapple cultivation, sustainable farming practices, and farm management. Additionally, women in the community are supported through microfinance programs that enable them to purchase the necessary tools and seeds for their own pineapple farming operations.
Challenges & Solutions:
Challenge: Access to financing for local farmers, particularly women.
Solution: Partnering with microfinance institutions to provide low-interest loans to local farmers and women entrepreneurs, giving them the financial freedom to start or expand their pineapple farming operations.
Outcome
More women are now involved in pineapple farming, leading to an increase in local pineapple production and providing economic independence for women in the community.
